We offer a range of services to cover every aspect of maintaining, improving and replacing sash windows. We never require the use of scaffolding as we work from the inside which reduce the costs significantly. We aim to create as little disruption as possible and we never leave a job until we have thoroughly cleaned and vacuumed.

Draught and noise proofing:

Draught proofing is a very cost effective and efficient way to reduce heat loss and external noise. The process is very unobtrusive and often improves the appearance of the window. It has been passed by our local authority in Bath for use on Grade 1 listed properties such as the Royal Crescent as it does not distract from the original appearance of the window. The process also involves replacing the sash cords, oiling the pulleys and balancing the weights, the end result being a window that is easy to open and close , does not rattle and has significantly less heat loss and noise ingress.

Replacement double or single glazed sashes:

For many home owners in Bath replacing their period windows with u.p.v.c is not an option basically because they wish to maintain the originality and value of their property. We can manufacture and fit replacement double glazed hardwood sash windows which match almost exactly the original window style of the property. The benefits are a reduction in heat loss, reduction of noise ingress and less maintenance in the future due to the type of timber we use and our high quality enamel paint system.

Repairs and refurbishment:

We will make and replace rotted windows sills, box sash frames and any other component of a sash window which is salvageable. We will also supply and fit window locks and security catches.
